Stunning wine. I tasted this younger and was unimpressed so I held all my bottles back hoping the longevity of the mourvedre would develop. It did. This is a balanced, rustic, bitter, tannic wine that is the epitome of what southern France grape varietals can deliver. I still think this wine can develop a bit more with time, but is nearing its peak. I will taste the next bottle in a year and likely add to my rating.
14.8% alcohol. This lived up to every bit of its promise from nearly five years ago. It's generous with its fruit and spice, with a balanced and, frankly, elegant sensibility about it. Complex and refined, with great texture. Just a true pleasure. A-/A
