Not decanted, consumed over ~2 hours. We opened this towards the tail end of dinner, and it wasn't the greatest bottle to sip on its own afterwards. The impressions from my 12/20/2014 note still stand, with savory notes reminiscent of roasted root vegetables dominant over any remaining fruit. Still decently balanced and not going to vinegar or anything like that, but time to drink up, at least for my palate.

Not decanted, consumed over 2+ hours. Generally simple but enjoyable, with black cherry/currant fruit slowly drying out and being replaced by a not-unpleasant sense of beef stock and lightly-carmelized veggies. More structure than I expected. Really, this was a better wine than this note probably makes it sound, and it was a fair match for a quasi-cassoulet made with chicken, beans, ham, and squash. Not dead, but drink up soon, especially if you want to capture any of the fruit.

Low intensity smell of cherries, dark berries and a hint of vanilla. Opening up after some time in the glass, revealing strawberry and a bit of spice. High acidity combined with warm, rich fruit, reminiscent of an NZ pinot. Not very interesting wine. 86p?
