  Birthday dinner @Flour+Water. was unreal with the smoked duck pasta and delicious with everything else. Amazingly fresh and bright, after listening to Pietro on wine enthusiast website say he liked this 5-7 years after release, I was nervous, but this wine was a in great place, and I thought it has more room to run. Very happy with where it was at, tannis were tamed at present and a perfect amount of fruit, but still some tertiary notes starting to form. I will let the 2007 Rocche age more. Beautiful wine, my last 07 of this bottling.

  Flannery and a trio of 2007 Barolos (My place, Portland OR): The nose shows off more fruited tones of dark red cherries, raspberries, sour red berries, a touch of oak, currants, cinnamon, spice box, violets, licorice, tobacco, and tar notes. There is excellent depth to the nose that is backed up by good balance and layering. The full bodied feel is balanced and poised with tart, high acidity and silky, high tannins. This is in a great place right now and is very 2007. It is balanced with richer fruit and fresh acidity while still having a lush side to the nose and palate.

  20 minute decant. Similar to last tasting note 5 years ago. I found the acidity a bit more noticeable but not out of balance. Excellent overall, ready to drink. Great Nebbiolo character.

  Bu en demi-bouteille.
  Excellent vin à maturité qui a su déjouer les pièges du millésime, aucune chaleur excessive perçue sur cette bouteille.
