Translucent medium-crimson color. Reticent on the nose at first, with some vaguely savory scents. With air, this becomes a dance between blackberry jam aromas, and an iodine-infused stoniness. The palate starts with a hint of sweet red fruit before tuning rocky at midpalate, with a firm expression of Vosne-Romanée's limesone soil. There is floral perfume, potpourri and a faintly oaky sweetness on the finish, which retains the piquancy of moderate acidity. This has entered its drinking window and will likely evolve positively on a 7-10 year time horizon.

a lot of fresh fruit - and was made the wine very good was how integrated it was together with the fresh fruit - medium on acidity and tannins - close to medium minus - this is already a very good wine but it will develop further in the next years

During a Paulee dinner so only brief impressions. This had some TCA taint.

Fresh lively excellent- tasted alongside '85 Richebourg so details are light in comparison, because we were focusing on it. Well made.

Maison Champy Dinner (Sepia - Chicago IL): Very reductive to start, never really opened up. Always came across as tough and firm.
