Drank in Gabriel Standart. Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of smoke, floral violets, red cherries, dark plums, hints of meat. Developing. On the palate, dry, juicy high acidity, medium+ alcohol (14%), smooth high tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of smoke ash, sweet spice, red + black cherries, dark plum, dark meat. Long finish. Very good quality. Overall a nice elegant modern package that still showcases the terroir. Tannins and texture seem to suggest already good drinking for now, though palate still seems like it could be hiding something. It's weird, but I think prefer my Etna wines a little more down dirty and with a touch of rusticity. Mainly Nerello Mascalese with some Nerello Cappuccio.

Needed every minute of a 1 hour decant. I suspect this needs a few more years to really shine.

Still young. A little tannic. Needs time. Dried and dark fruit predominates

Tasted blind. Nerello Mascalese, Nerello Cappuccio blend. Brooding palate, a bit rustic and earthy but impressive spine. I was guessing Sangiovese.
