This wine is a beauty. A very rich golden color. Creamy honey soaks the fruit in the mouth. This is a rich, round, and ample wine. Yet, the acidic holds its own making me desire rich food. There are some tannins on the long and bitter finish.

Explosive nose of minerals, anise, wet rocks and perfumed apples. A massive mid-palate with gobs of white fruits building to a layered, nearly 45 second finish with a head-spinning tension between acid and fruit. Just lovely and highly recommended. Approx $65, 12,5% abv, drink thru 2017, 93+.

(Pavillon Meursault Charmes) A more forward and intense fruit nose. In the mouth this is very very concentrated and complex with tons of dry extract. Really, really long - clearly a more challenging drink today than the villages, but super quality.

Drank this last week with some trepidation as to its age. The wine was tremendous and am digging through my cellar hoping I have more!
