Black cherry and cassis to red apple nose with cinnamon, tobacco, liquorice and fine floral highlights: lilacs, violets. Classically proportioned full bodied wine with carrying mid-level acidity and dusty ripe tannins gripping nicely. Red apple brightness to dark berry fruit, liquorice and refined oaking. Long finish. A fine showing, but needs further ageing for the complexity to really reveal itself. Nonetheless just too pricey.
