Tasted by Richard Jennings on 7/18/2009 & rated 91 points: Rosé Tasting (Beltramo's in Menlo Park, California): Light salmon color; intriguing light fish sauce, mineral, savory nose; nice tart minerally, lime, tart cherry palate with a green note; medium finish (350 views)
Tasted by KristinL on 6/1/2009: Loved the balance between crisp acidity and juicy fruitiness. Wish I'd bought more. Very good. (415 views)

Tasted by tanglenet on 4/11/2009: Opened not decanted and served cold. I brought 2 bottles to a friend's house to serve at a dinner with a lot of non-winos. The first bottle was fine with light slightly unripe fruit ending with a tart crisp finish. The second bottle was served too warm and as a result did not show well. (523 views)
Tasted by RPerro on 2/21/2009 & rated 84 points: Anam Cara Vertical Tasting (Dietra's House, Portland OR): Pre-vertical tasting wine. Light, pale pink. Rose of Pinot Noir. Not my favorite wine, but better than previous tastings. Nice acidity, keeping the light strawberry fruit alive. (528 views)
Tasted by tanglenet on 11/21/2008: Opened and not decanted and served slightly chilled with homemade pizza. Starts out with a somewhat sweet entry and ends with a light, sour finish. In between there is nice, refreshing acidity with notes of fresh carrots. Good to Very Good. (558 views)
Tasted by rmodak on 11/20/2008 & rated 88 points: Crisp with strawberry, lean profile but a hint of green. Drink now with food. (592 views)
Tasted by wineismylife on 10/7/2008 & rated 87 points: WIML87. Last bottle. Actually picked up a point. The acidity was a little more under control in this bottle. Drink now. (598 views)
Tasted by Wicker Parker on 8/15/2008: Not as much character and verve as the last bottle; the aromas are still there but it's slightly flatter on the palate. Still good, though. (566 views)
Tasted by wineismylife on 7/27/2008 & rated 86 points: WIML86

Consistent with previous bottles. This wine simply isn't as good as the previous vintage. (616 views)
Tasted by wineismylife on 7/12/2008 & rated 86 points: WIML86

No notes. Same as previous bottles. This wine falls way short of the far superior 2006 vintage. Acidity is out of balance. Drink them if you have them. I'll kill off my remaining bottle quickly. (626 views)
Tasted by tanglenet on 7/7/2008: Opened not decanted, served chilled. Tasted at the winery. Quick notes: nice bright acidity with strawberry notes and a lemon finish. Reminds me of a very dry champagne. Good to Very Good. (616 views)
Tasted by wineismylife on 7/3/2008 & rated 86 points: (542 views)
Tasted by Wicker Parker on 6/5/2008: Beautiful stuff here, as always, albeit not as silky and elegant as the 2006 Glass. It has a peachy pink color and lovely aromas of musk melon. The acid/mineral balance is terrific and shows great presence at the midpalate, which lets the salt, lemon, and wild strawberry flavors hum nicely. Restrained, crisp, minerally, and very refreshing — the spirit of a top Muscadet in an Oregon pinot noir rosé. A true food wine that will reward brief cellaring. (678 views)
Tasted by wineismylife on 6/1/2008 & rated 86 points: I'm sipping a second bottle of this right now. Profile is pretty much dead on with the first bottle with the exception of the sweet tarts out of the gate. Maybe it's settling in a little after a short rest in the cellar (after all, we are talking about a Rose here) but it's still a solid step or more behind the 2006 vintage which I rated in the 89-91 range at the winery last June. Maybe by the end of this June it'll perk up a little. I'm hopeful. FWIW. (741 views)

Tasted May 12, 2008. No formal notes, just popped and poured. Light rose color in the glass, clear hue throughout. Nose of bubble gum dominates up front with some added notes of strawberries. Flavors of strawberries, raspberries and either banana or passion fruit towards the finish. Acidity is too high, finish is clunky. This is a definitely step down from the 2006 vintage in my opinion. Drink now. (851 views)

Rosé wines vary from just pink to almost raspberry juice red in color, and can be referred to as rosé, pink or blush wines. Rosés are made from black grapes, but don’t fully turn red because the grape skins are removed from the juice mere hours after contact. This brief contact with the grape skins gives the wine a pink color from the slight transference of red pigments from the skins. Rosés can also be made by blending together white and red wines, but this is not very common outside of champagne. This brief skin contact also ensures that a minimal amount of tannins enters the wine. Adapted from Winegeeks website.
Varietal character (Appellation America) | Varietal article (Wikipedia)
Pinot Noir is the Noble red grape of Burgundy, capable of ripening in a cooler climate, which Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot will not reliably do. It is unpredictable and difficult both to grow and to vinify, but results in some of the finest reds in the world. It is believed to have been selected from wild vines two thousand years ago. It is also used in the production of champagne. In fact, more Pinot Noir goes into Champagne than is used in all of the Cote d'Or! It is also grown in Alsace, Germany, the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Croatia, Serbia, Italy, and so forth, with varying degrees of success.
