(Goretti Montefalco Sagrantino Le Mura Saracene) Opaque black violet color; tar, charcoal, tart black fruit nose; tar, tart black fruit palate; needs 2-3 years yet; long finish
(Goretti Le Mura Saracene Sagrantino di Montefalco) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-really interesting roasted peppers & sun dried tomato; dark sour cherries; a little Oregano; tropical (papaya & passion fruit) on the back end; very floral; very pretty; TASTE-the same "quality" as $50-$70 Barolo/ Brunello/Barbaresco's; beautiful sour cherry; lilac component; burnt tire; very rustic; the finish is quite dry, bitter and tannic which some may not like; that will round out w/ 4-6 years; sour cherries dipped in really dark chocolate on the finish; will last for 7-15 years easy; a little rusty nail; a very solid effort; has Old World flavor w/ New World brightness; nice rose petal action; would be great w/ Parmesan cheese; some beautiful cinnamon stick on the back-end; very complex; should be hitting it's sweet spot in 3-5 years; WE-92; GV-92

very dry, absence of the fruit I remember, spicy finish, smoke, saddle leather. Probably past its time

New world, generic, and confusing. Pass on this and pay up for Bea instead.
