From magnum this time. Leakage from the cork. Dark garnet with brick hues. Expressive nose with obvious evolution. Cedar, liquorice, dark cherries, leather and undergrowth. Medium to full-bodied, perfectly balanced with mature but by no means macerated fruit, soft tannins and medium acidity. Long aftertaste. Drinks prefectly right now. On par with a second or third growth bdx left banker.
Dark garnet. Very Medoc-like nose with intense cedar, leather, noble barnyard scents, cherry, cassis, liquorice and sweet spice. Medium-bodied with soft tannins, vibrant fruit and balancing acidity. Long aftertaste. At peak but will continue drinking nicely for several more years. The best Don Melchor I've had to date. Excellent!
