Quite an intense, savoury experience, charcuterie, spice, black olive, saline, leather, quite developed, yet at the same time robust, tannic, interesting.

Fun with Pucelles and Amoureuses (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Seemed heat damaged, which is odd given the great bottle from the same case opened a few months ago!

A few Bottles of Burgundy as an Hommage to Tony Terlato (Smyth and The Loyalist - Chicago IL): Opened an hour before serving. Plenty of bright red fruit with background spice and faint earth. Bright and brilliant textures and balance are the stars here, all the way through to a very long finish.
