Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • When I pulled this from the cellar, the cork was sticking up a bit - uh-oh. This struck me as odd since it had been in temp-controlled storage and didn't have a cork sticking up when it went in. Check the bottle - no obvious seepage...hmmm. Pulled the cork - when I poured it, it had a slight effervescence to it, somewhat like a Moscato d'Asti. Loss - it had started to re-ferment in the bottle. It smelled like Riesling, but tasted like pear cider, at best, but was really undrinkable. Bummer.
