This Roussanne was beginning to pick up weight with modest age and it paired very nicely with a spicy asian dish. The richness (a smooth mouth sweetness feel) was excellent. Finish starting to break down into a somewhat ragged departure, but all in all a nice meal accompaniment.

Off-putting nose. Burnt wood chips. Decanted to try to blow away the oak. Needed more time. Started integrating toward the end of the bottle. Some banana flavors and good acid. A food wine. Reminded my of a coastal French wine like Chenin.

Great bottle. Nice bouquet of meadow flowers, summer grasses, pears and minerals. Balanced, huge, rich mouth feel. Fruit, stones, loooong finish.
Finally, something from these guys that begins to approach all their self hype. Really nice.
