Nose is dominated by pepper, along with smoke and meat. Good fruit, with sour cherries on the front end. Medium-weight finish. Has held up surprisingly well. Highly recommended at the $11 price I paid.

Even with the poor stems, this really shined and brought welcome relief to a week of poor wines up this point, the $34 US restaurant price even wasn't totally outrageous in comparison to others - Dark, well concentated with a nose of plum, blueberry, pepper and vanilla, decent complexity, well made, balanced, sweet and smooth on the palate with good length, excellent QPR (90 Points).

My new QPR I think. Ripe black fruit and tobacco leaf on the nose, very concentrated black fruit and a little bit of liquorice on a palate that isn't quite as full as the nose but is still delicious with a finish that lasts a good 40 seconds.

I think I held this one too long. Not oxidized or bad, just no fruit left. nose was a little off. Should have consumed it last year or before.

Lacking the fruity, spicy punch of a good Aussie shiraz, this tasted more like a cabernet blend with a little bitters added. Drank better last year.
