  Drink up; $16 MSRP, the '98 is $65 on wine commune, and this bottle cost $1 at closeout -- somebody explain wine pricing to me; this bottle was profoundly out-of-balance, but the wine has good elements and it goes well with lighter fare at this point; good acidic grip gives the wine very food friendly qualities, and this bottle was still alive in terms of fruit and softness, but it's on the downhill slope; definitely an atypical Oz shiraz, which I would guess is what Chapoutier et fils were going for...
