Started out a little hot and too simple. Easy drinking and straight-forward fruit. Calms down after a one hour decant, picked up a bit more character. Weak on acid and tannins and very fruit forward with mostly red fruit - strawberry and cherry out front. Picks up a bit of texture as it decants. Very little spice/pepper for a zin. Entire bottle went down easy. Nice daily drinker, but not enough going on here to make it special. Prefer the Vortex vineyard designate by the same producer... more complexity.

This is a personal note relating not only to quality California juice, but a toast to Zinfancel as a grape, and Peachy Canyon for "figuring it out". This wine screams with the best of Zin. Loved it - big, luscious fruit with a full bodied feel and texture that's beyond belief. I can't imagine doing it better. Go Peachy!

Not like butter, this IS butter. Wow. I thought it would go with my buttery pasta, but it should have been saved for seafood. Yes, I said it, this is a red for seafood. Briana feels that they stuck a stick of butter in the wine, but I just think that they used some oak. Oak fight! I like oak.

All the peachy Zinfandels are great. Especially tight and tannic after opening but you have to let this wine breath just a little to open up. Chocolate and succulent fruit await the patient taster.

Great Zin as always from PC. MS not quite as delightful as the Vortex.
