Blackish purple in color. Big nose of oak, fruit and smoke. Plump dark fruit with a nice balance of acidity in the finish. The wine is smooth and soft with just a touch of tannins. No complexity just soft rich fruit. We have not had a Zinfandel in a long time and tried this one because my wife was preparing a Chinese crispy orange beef dish and her recipe recommended it as a good match. Boy was it. One of the best two or three wine/food matches we have had in the last year.

Peachy Canyon Zins are always a treat. WE belong to the ZIN wine club and it's always an adventure to try the diffent vintages from the same vineyard. Vortex, has a nice earhy, yet fruity fresh nose. Not too much spiceor heat on the pallet. Amazingly, on the pallet however, this wine is soft and jammy and very fruity. Excellent Zin.

Big, deep, dark plummy berry laden zin; paired it with venison steaks. Outstanding; the folks at Peachy Canyon "get it" - I'd recommend this highly!
