  • Gold green, shining in the glass. This seems to have all the elements that are so typical of Alsatian Riesling. It's got power, opulence, fruitiness combined with a reticent elegance and an important structure. Real ripensess on the nose that grows into some sort of vanilla-infused smokiness. Scents of honey and dried fruit at times it yields the impression of a sweet wines but it is actually totally dry. Ligth, almost undetectable hints of oxydation. The nose creates exact expectations of what you'll find on the palate. Good structure, weight and power. Superb zesty acidity that grips the flavour onto your mouth with great persistency. Rebuy: yes.

  • Straw / light green in the glass. Expressive, powerful on the nose. Ripe and full, it offers impressions of confit citrus (clementine and agrumes confit) and exotic notes evolving into some sort of intruguing soffused smokiness. Quite some depth on display. Somehow I keep thinking its ripeness is nearly overwhelming as it takes away freshness. The citrus notes are present on the palate. Exotic fruit as well, like on the nose. Very round and with remarkable weight. Vibrant and uptight, with remarkable citrus-like acidity and persistency. Rebuy: yes.
