WSET Advanced Cert3 - course wines (Fine Wine Partners, Sydney): Clear garnet. Stewed red fruits, earthy notes, and a touch of bretty horsiness. A dry, tannic and full-bodied palate revelas flavours of spice, plums and raisins. Warm, near hot finish too, a sort of new world wine with an old world accent. Probably get uglier as it ages…

Wow. Incredibly smooth, thanks to the age, but still deep and complex. Lots still going on here, with a nice, long finish. Love this.

Full bodied, creamy and round. There are cherries, some paprika and pleasant bitters.
