Ye Olde Riesling Dinner (SDK - Castro): An intense, lively, and elegant wine with a firm, mineral spine, but also ripe, almost tropical fruit notes, spice and a hint of bitterness. Racy and mouth-watering on the finish, with the receding sweetness keeping the ripping acidity in check. Yum.

bright yellow gold boardering on irradiant; very much an unified wine, all of the bits and pieces have come together both on nose and taste; gentle classic Pfalz Riesling fruit, Roter Weinbergspfirsich, faint cold smoke and autumn Pfalz forest; fresh and balanced taste, quite sweet considering the alcohol but no doubt this is Spätlese, seamless in harmony with the nose, again ripe Roter Weinbergspfirsich, a bit of classy rough (tannin) is there too to keep it all interesting; ends on the sweet peachy theme

Last of my bottles, and I wanted to drink this alongside the 2134 for contrast. They're both absolutely spectacular wines with an array of ripe fruit, minerality, mature smokiness, herbs, and so much more going on. But this one seemed more generous aromatically and on a wonderful plateau to drink while the 2134 still seemed a bit tight, needing some air to bring out its aromatic depth and gives the impression it's still holding a bit in reserve.

This could've passed off as an Auslese. Great tropical notes with biting acidity to maintain freshness.

Riesling Study #1 (Atoboy (Manhattan, NY)): High toned and exotic. This got lost in the shuffle for me. But it felt a little more blockish than the Scheurebe spatlese.
