  Impressive depth and substance for the level but some unbalanced sweetness, oak, and drying tannins. Was much better 2 years ago when it had plenty of primary fruit but is not not aging gracefully. Hard to say if it will improve with further age but suspect this was styled to impress early.

  Fragrant bouquet with lingering and surprising caramel overtones. Good garnet color. New world style Burgundy aged in mostly new oak casks. Nice but stolid Burgundy behind its oak stockade. Lack of substantial finish.
