  • The perfect wine? For me, perhaps. Deep fruit nose with an almost peppery character. Mouth-coating rich tartish fruit that lasts & lasts with a final slight note of funk. An excellent wine that is drinking phenomenally well right now. The next day, the remnants of the bottle were still wonderful.

  • Stunning half bottle Maxine and I picked up a case of in NYC a few weeks ago. Serious pepper, Gucci leather aroma, balanced and elegant on the palate. Maxine says drink it now or lose the moment - it's ethereal with the depth and layers of a DRC for a fraction of the coin.

  • Yep no doubt about it this is an insane deal on what is quite possibly a prematurely aged poorly stored half bottle, but which, serendipitously, has ended up in a nice place (how many years in advance this bottle would be, I can only wonder). Great earthiness, a real pleasure. Appreciated this bottle much more than the last.

  • This is a nice burgundy quaffer especially at the closeout price. From a half. Advanced color, like some of the other 2004s I have had, but that seems to be about the only thing that this has in common with the vintage. No greenies. Very nice concentration here. Nose that suggests sour cherries and some meet. Started out very fruity, but quickly gained some gaminess. Typical Gevrey in my book. Very nice mid-palate, but the finish is a bit clipped. Again a fine example in a tough vintage and a no-brainer at the close-out price.

  • 1/2 bottle bought in NYC during a trip. Wish I'd bought a case! Opened up nicely, and turned into an adventure on the palette. Sightly pepper finish. Bought at Warehouse Wines near the University. If you live in NYC go get it NOW before it sells out. At its prime drinking window.
