  • Stone, steel and citrus. Tasted more like a Sancerre than a NZ SB to me. Balanced and restrained. Nice to see this style from NZ as it gives me reason to keep trying them.

  • Very pale. Great nose of crushed rock and sugared lime. The taste is restrained, and quite savoury. Not as good as the last bottle, but still showing great finesse. Drink with goat cheese, garlic prawns, or anything quite salty.

  • 5* from Decanter. This is a pale but fragrant sauvignon blanc; it is absolutely pure, focused, linear and perfectly poised. It stands midway between the taught, herbaceous cool-climate style, and the full, rich, tropical-fruit-flavoured wines of warmer climates. There's citrus, fine-grained minerality, some vegetal aromas, and gentle peachy fruit. Totally knit together, this ought to please anyone who likes unoaked white wine. Sheer class - buy a case if you can. [Majestic, £10.99 or £8.99 when you buy 2]
