(Case Vecie BRIGALDARA Amarone) Unusual Formats Dear Friends, After yesterday's Brigaldara Case Vecie offer, a number of you asked for splits of the wine - there are no splits to be had but what about magnums? They only produced a few dozen of these and they're about as rare as Amarone gets. Venetian trophy wine? To remind you of the style, part of yesterday's offer for the 750mls is below: "The wine cascades with what I call "interplay" - an extra-ordinary (hyphen intentional) layering of elements that creates a textural and sensory experience that goes beyond aroma and taste. In this case, an explosive, velvety and rich amalgam of sweetness, acidity, oven-dried plums and concentrated grape must defines the core. If you add a mortar and pestle of toasted fenugreek, coriander, baking spice and dried sage, you are left with a wine experience that spreads itself across you entire pallet and washes it with electric intrigue. There are many wines at 3-4 times this price that cannot deliver the interest or flavor spectrum of this Amarone. Due to the palate presence and style, everyone from high-end Shiraz enthusiasts (more in the realm of Grange not Henry's Drive) to 1947 Right Bank collectors would thoroughly enjoy this. In my experience, Amarone of this quality ages for years, even decades and this is a wine that may actually be worth the tariff: EXTREMELY LIMITED in magnum with enticing potential for development and investment potential. This set is directly from the source with perfect provenance: 2004 Brigaldara Amarone della Valpolicella "Case Vecie" 1.5lt Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Italy6788
