Cork is soft and crumbles on the way out but the wine is in excellent condition. This bottle has a good straw colouring but with crystalline clarity and no perceptible oxidation. The gorgeous nose of lemon curd, lanolin, faint white flowers and a citrus note immediately led me to expect an impressive Semillon.
Sure enough the palate delivers a sublime experience of the expected mild lemon, buttered toast, custard and with wonderful mouthfeel and balance gracefully finishing with mild acidity and lingering lemon butter notes. The viscosity is not too strong, nor the acidity so I experience near perfect balance. If anything it could do with slightly more length but its a gorgeous aged Semillon that I greatly enjoyed. Drink now.

Still very light in colour and fresh and youthful even after 20 years. Just starting to evolve the tropical, honey complexity....but certainly not full blown yet if that's what you're waiting for. Nicely balanced though...feels like it could still go 2 more decades and still hold some freshness

Still crystal clear and light coloured. Was under cork, so a little musty on the nose, but the taste was still fresh and clean. One comment was "could last another 10 years"

Lemon, lanolin, sunlight soap, and honey on the nose.
The palate is dominated by preserved lemon, honey, and toast. Very light bodied, thought it spreads out across the palate. Comes across a bit broad initially, but finishes zesty with a mouth-watering finish with excellent persistence.
Opinion: Lacking some of the fruit stuffing of top vintages, though not bad at all. Drink now, as it is sufficiently mature for my palate.

Very elegant semillon with lots of lemon and lime notes. Has not reached tertiary stage yet where buttered toast comes into play
