Heady, ripe, spicy Grenache nose showing a touch of oak, mineral verve. Very sweet plum and berry fruit palate, bordering on confected. Very forward and ripe juice but the recognizable Priorat vibe tickles me a bit. Vall Llach always strikes me as pushing the limits of ripeness and I tend to find their lesser wines more balanced and enjoyable. Good stuff.

Potent, perfumy, sweet nose exploding out of the bottle. Spicy Grenache nose showing mineral, sweet dark blue fruit, very high ripeness. Spicy, intense palate, this is quintessential modern Priorat. Moderate tannin, sufficient acid, some EtOH, and a long wet stony finish. My best bottle of this yet, I think this eclipses all other Val Llach wines I have had.

Soft, wet cork. Spicy, minerally, with good fruit and acidity. Perhaps a touch of heat damage here makes this seem to lack precision and comes across a little caramelly. Hmm.

Well integrated silky tannins. Smooth, earthy cherry flavors. Very nice.
