  • We have another auction winner here. This isn't complex or deep, but it is delicious. There are simple flavors of dark berry and funk along with substantial acidity. This needs food.

  • Wife and I disagreed about whether or not the bottle was flawed, or if it was just a bad wine. I think it was just a bad wine--nondescript nose, poorly defined palate and zero finish.

  • Somewhat bland but nice and dry. Would buy again.

  • No more debate from me: Italian food deserves Italian wine! Took the bottle to Sicilia en Bocca and had with Swordfish pasta and Sausage pasta; a great full set of aromas including a deep berry, full blueberry-blackberry flavors on the palate, and a clean dry finish with a subtle, dry berry aftertaste. A flat, dead wine with the wrong food, but a complex, delightful wine with the correct pairing. I know; I'm late to the party, but I've arrived. Yummy.

  • As long as this wine is in your mouth it is full of intense, slightly tart, red berry flavors, but don't look for much before or after. With a cheese and cracker and apple lunch, there was no nose and only a clean, perhaps cleansing, finish and aftertaste. Use it wisely, I think. The bottle suggests pizza.

Not with grilled lamb chops; fades to little more than acidic tartness. This is a light, fruity Italian wine for Italian food, like pasta or pizza. Use it with the right food.

Had with pizza: That's what it's for. Cuts through the salty cheese with nice berries. No subtleties needed.
