Quite oxidized, darker brass-amber color; on the palate was actually quite nice with good acidity with a tangy finish. Take away: CA Chards are not aging well after more than 10 years. The sweet spot seems to be 6 to 7 yrs. Blind at the Dirty Dozen CA Chards Grand Harbor Seafood.

opened and decanted 1 hour and 45 minutes before serving. Lots of big toasty oak, flinty, and nice acidity on the palate. In very good condition and very lively.

As good a bottle Kingsgaard Chardonnay as I can remember. Golden color with a telltale nose of buttered popcorn and scuppernong fruit. Mature, round and deep, the palate folllows the flavors on the nose. There is a wonderful skeleton that holds everything together beautifully. This is terrific. (94)

Oxidized, Madeirized although there was still some fruit left. Likely a class effect and not just a bad bottle.

nice and ripe on the palate without being over-ripe. Sweet nose that was almost like sugar cane. Not bad at all.
