Deep blackberry/ruby in colour, with obvious bricking to the outer edge. Nose of tobacco, blackberry and pencil shavings, just slightly vegetal, very pleasant. Slightly soft on the palate, still a good amount of fruit and oak. Tannins are still quite persistent, but not unpleasantly so. The finish is dry but reasonable. For the price this is very enjoyable right now.

Probably a wine designed for food. This is my third bottle over the last couple of months and this one seemed far more tannic and lac lustre than the previous couple. Still good value and I will prrobably keep a couple of bottles till next yera ust to see what happens.

Brought thsi wine for £12 and it's a great bargain. Needs to be dunk now and will not last much longer in a cellar. So make the most of it while you can. Good colour but with sediment througout the glass so needs to be decantered/filtered for full enjoyment. A lovely structured taste with a hint of red fruit (strawberries?).

Decantered for 30min. Still fruity on nose/palate with some nice signs of ageing. Drank with food over ~1.5h, didn't really open up much. Good food wine.

Past its best - no real complexity.
