Interesting, complex flavor, which I actually enjoyed in many ways, though not what I expected at this stage. Apples and a nice toastiness but the fruit has otherwise largely faded and the acids have decayed. Past its prime.

  This was a lovely Puligny Montrachet, but then I have never been disappointed by a Paul Pernot wine.

  Correct colour, lively appearance; citrus and wool on the nose, hint of wood, floral topnote, good depth; nice balance and acidity on the palate, juicy fruit and good intensity, lovely mineral edge and a savoury quality; good length. Good bottle.

  Better than the previous bottle. Fully mature, firm core of steely acidity, fruit of apple and lemon curd, hint of wet wool, salty minerality, slightly rustic wood, good length.
