Decanted ~1 1/2 hours, consumed over ~2 hours. Medium weight and just a little on the ripe side of things, with concentrated mixed berry notes, dark chocolate, and some background peppery/spicy/herbal notes. Pleasing all around, with good (if not especially noteworthy) balance, complexity, depth, finish, etc. This drank nicely last night with our tri-tip dinner, but it certainly could go out at least a few more years as well.

Opened ~1 hour prior to drinking, but not decanted. Not analytically tasted. A touch harsh at first, but eventually settled down and went nicely with pan-seared steaks, roasted potatoes, and salad. Will let our last one age a bit more.

Popped & poured. Initially closed on nose and palate, but some tart plum, dark berries, and spice did eventually peek through. I expect this to improve with a year or two of additional cellar time.

Cigar box and sweet spices. Blackberry, stewed plum, and chocolate notes on palate. Fading a bit on the finish.

This one suffered from following the 2000 Pindar Cab Reserve - it was thinner and greener somehow, although my roommate preferred it a little.
