Lovely leathery nose and good balance, fine to drink with no decanting. Not very complex and medium bodied, nonetheless very pleasant -- I got it for $17 a few years back, and excellent value at that. Terrif with roasted tomato and saffron sauce. I don't think this has a long life ahead and is just fine to drink now.
Brick red & fading at the edges. Nose fairly closed except for underbrush. Tannin is ample but smooth enough. Some restrained raspberry and lots of earth, touch of leather. Drying finish. A little better day two. Worked with a hearty eggplant parmesan.
