Really fresh with a nose of freshly tilled earth, red berries and mushroom. It has good detail in the mouth as berry fruit flavours overlay a bed of mineral and earth. It has substantial structure and finishes crisp and dry.
A nice burgundian red (color wise). The aromas were that of cherry, raspberry and plum. No funk in this mature, good as it probably gets, A very smooth drinking bottle of pinto with no tannins or stems. On first blush, it seemed a bit light in the mouth hence the less than 90 score.
The coloring was a light cherry. The aroma was stemmy at first but cleared to reveal some nice red fruit. The tannins had completely dropped off leaving fruit flavors (cherry and raspberry). The wine had little body and seemed light. Nice but drink up!
