Dried flowers, leafy herbs, roasted cherries, cedar, tobacco, and dried red berries. Light, Burgundian, soft, elegant and charming, this is easy to drink, but without a lot of depth, length or complexity. Drink from 2024-2028.

The Judgement of Paris - reloaded: A generous friend brought this gem along as a starter wine, commemorating that the judgment of Paris took place in 1976. Smokey, tobacco nose, mushroom, red fruit compote, oxidative notes. Smells like so many CabSav/Merlot/Rioja once they are past peak. A mix of wine and Sherry. Not bad but I prefer it younger and fresher with lively fruit. Hard to score as it depends on your acceptance of this late stage aroma profile.

Just a wonderful expression of aged beauty. Tertiary flavors of dusty tobacco, forest floor, and mushroom intermingle with acid and dried out warm fruit in the back ground. Even though it has 35 years in the bottle it did not become overly funky just smooth silky and a marvelous treat. A great experience that I was lucky to be invited too.

Even though it's a off-vintage Petrus, not bad because it's a Petrus.
