Best showing for me in this flight. Aromatic and elegant bouquet that would have led me straight to Chambolle on another night. Ripe dark cherry, roses, strawberries and orange spices all round with iron and earth showing. Perfect balance and finesse through a long finish.

At dinner. Brief note. Pours a day-bright purplish red in the glass. Nose and palate are immense and explosive showing rich red cherry, burnt orange peel, rare game bird, iron, crimson rose petals, cinnamon, allspice and creamy mineralité. Midpalate was full of impressively detailed layers of fruit, florals, spice, and earth with the strong iron core coming through with the fine grained tannins and lacy acid. The balance and finesse alongside the large-scaled weight are impeccable and evident in the very long and complex finish. Stunning wine.

I really enjoyed this - very fragrant in the mouth, with sweet spices. Lacks some depth and structure, and now sure how this will age from here, but great for drinking now and over the next 5 years. This used to be 100% whole bunch but now only 40%. Surprisingly good quality. 92-93pts

Mini Boys Night (Reno, NV): Ruby purple rim, low depth of color, rim shows low to moderate efforts of extraction. Aromatically this is full of red fruits, flowers, and minerals. Minimal new oak influence. On the palate the wine has high acidity, a light midpalate that has plenty of depth, very fine tannins of moderate ripeness, low to moderate alcohol. After a bit of time in the decanter this was aromatically quite exuberent. Great balance, good length, great intensity, average complexity at this stage. Wine has great finesse, a very fine texture, great expression of place. This wine certainly has the depth of flavor and acidity to improve with age though drinks well now with some air. A lot of personality in this wine... everything is very well integrated for such a young wine... very clear aromas and flavors... I was impressed.
