Did a pop and pour on this last night, but it really seemed primal, with an harsh saline component. Put it in the decanter overnight and tried again tonight. MUCH improved! Blackberries are front and center, and tannins are still pretty drying on the finish. Still a bit of saline in there...not sure if this is an off bottle or what, but I didn't get this in my previous tasting.

Cathedral Ridge Winery Holiday Celebration (The Governor Hotel, Portland, OR): Nice fruit, blackberry and cherry. Fairly intense right now, with tight tannins that dry the mouth out. Needs more time for sure.
