    (Abreu Vineyard Howell Mountain Lucia Abreu Vineyard) The original 11 acres, planted in 2002, tend to ripen together and are picked at the same time. A 7-acre block was added in 2006. The cuvée is 58-65% Cabernet Sauvignon, the rest comprising Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Merlot. Warmer nights and cooler days on Howell Mountain result in a unique structure, with a balance of ripe fruit and rounded tannins. The wine proves that grapes from this area can achieve phenological ripeness yet be approachable early. Winery Spotlight: Abreu Vineyard
