Very dark red/,purple 2 a garnet hue. PNP, drank two glasses over 3 hours plus. This was marvelous. Wow, great nose, high toned, wood spice, cassis, black cherry, tobacco, creme de cassis, pepper and spice. The palate is full bodied with so much deep dark mountain fruit, blackberry, scorched earth, dark cherry, plum, dried wood and loads of spice and pepper. Really long and penetrating on the finish.

From a magnum. Cork shattered on open so was a little worried but all good, essentially PnP and ready from the start. Lots of lovely secondary notes. Veeder all the way.
Nose-blood iron, fresh bay leaf, that Veeder thing I love, unripe red cherry, luden cough drop, pine forest.
Palate-just lovely, acid and tannins integrated, fruit maybe just a little past peak (I was surprised), red cherry, dried blueberries.

Acquired new. I feel that O'Shaughnessy makes some of the better Cabs in Napa that are fairly priced. This wine while mature has years left. Recommend a visit to the winery--it is a delight.

Perfect Cabernet bouquet and color with orange ring. Somewhat hollow on the mid palate and acid minus with lack of flavor concentration and focus. Way different than the other bottle. Maybe I compared it to the phenomenon Roebert Foley's 2008 Petit Sirah that I had 2 nights ago, but somehow it looked pale in comparison/depth of flavors.

Amazing bouquet and focus of flavors. Luscious and balanced. Long length and pleasant finish.
