My last and best bottle -- drinking surprisingly well. Lemony, just a touch of petrol, aged mushroomy bouquet. Very fresh in mouth, beautifully complex. Lip smacking long sweet/tart lemon finish.

Opened this up yesterday with Thanksgiving dinner. Surprisingly strong petrol nose initially. Too much for me and more than a little offputting. It seemed to blow off somewhat with some time in the glass. I never remember the petrol tones being so dominant in previous bottles of Poet's Leap. Maybe its because this bottle is getting older and its been several years since I opened one of these. I have one more remaining and might actually consider decanting it to get some of that petrol nose off of it. After that though it was pure poet's leap and everything that I really enjoy about this wine. Very nice crisp but not super dry reisling. Lots of green apple, stone, with a touch of residual sugar, and acid that works very well with Thanksgiving dinner.

Nose: Very nice. Light petrol notes. Lots of honyed fruit. Very enjoyable. Palate: Full and lush, with a long finish. This is aging very nicely. Finish has some good acidity. Would buy again.
