  • Friends' Anniversary Dinner (Anvil Club, East Dundee): Pale color. Aromas of butterscotch, vanilla, pear, melon and minerals. Terrific weight on the palate with flavors of white fruit and apple, pear, florals, citrus and coconut. Long, balanced finish. Developed a wonderful Meyer lemon creme brulee note. Has good underlying acidity and a lingering finish. Just gorgeous- go find yourself some of this. Thanks thelostverse!

  • Opened at Anvil for 26th anniversary dinner. Similar note as previous bottle. This is just a beautiful wine and is still holding strong.

  • The last bottle from a case. A quite enjoyable wine. Not much has changed from my last tastings: "Aromas and flavors of lemon, baked apple, pineapple, some creme brulee, minerals. The oak is lightly toasted and well integrated into the wine. Great balance and structure. A creamy-like viscosity in the mouth. A long and appreciable finish." This one I paired with baked salmon - of course it paired very nicely. Again, fabulous stuff!

  • Easter wine #2

Color: bright medium deep yellow. Winning nose of pineapple, apple pie baking spices, butter, a little lemon and a hint of toasty oak. Incredibly palate texture: creamy, lush and smooth with a great, looong finish. Pineapple again, peaches, a little creme brulee. Really nice and drinking perfectly now. Enjoyed greatly by all.

  • This has got to be the 11th time I've had the pleasure of consuming this wine, as I only have one bottle left from the original case. Just and PnP, while watching March Madness basketball. Just about the same as my last evaluation: "Aromas and flavors of lemon, baked apple, pineapple, some creme brulee, minerals. The oak is lightly toasted and well integrated into the wine. Great balance and structure. A creamy-like viscosity in the mouth. A long and appreciable finish." As I've previously mentioned, a fabulous wine!
