Pronounced straw colour; enticing, complex, providing intrigue, neat; cut & drive, acidity to fore, haunting stone fruits; dashing, extended finish. So good now but plenty of time in hand. Real quality & consistent to previous highly enjoyable bottle, a couple of years ago.
A private dinner at a friend's (Amsterdam): Paired with Domaine de Chevalier Blanc 2004. Lovely colour, fullish yellow; excellent depth and complexity on the nose, vegetal notes, hint of tropical fruit, lemon, perfectly integrated oak; palate seems mature, good intensity and weight, oakier than the Chevalier but beautifully integrated, good flavour intensity and length, but without the ageing potential of the Chevalier.
Light straw yellow. Citrus nose, with hints of licorice and fresh mown grass. Top notes are the forward acids, citrus, kiwi, lime, lemon grass, tart green apple. A slight hint of sweetness in the finish. Still can benefit form time in the bottle.
