At home with Coravin (My place, parramatta, sydney): Under Argon spritz. Aromas of spice - touches of ginger - slight sulphur over tropical fruit and ripe peach, slight wet stone and a citrus note. In the mouth the wine has juicy acidity and is off-dry, flavours of tropical fruit basket, peach, some gum gripping phenolic, spice and ripe apple on the medium plus length. Very nice
Riesling and Kraftwerk (My place, parramatta, sydney): On the nose aromas of peach, tropical fruit - pineapple - and ripe apple. Spice and cream as well. In the mouth all of the above, juicy but off dry - beautifully balanced - and a slight sulphurous notes on the long finish. Simply lovely.
From Coravin. Had a glass of this with cous cous with roast veg, toasted nuts and feta. Went really nicely - the sweetness offset the saltiness of the feta and accompanied the roast pumpkin and capsicum beautifully leaving a mostly citrus (especially mandarin and orange - botrytis?) and ripe apple note to the nose and palate. The acidity was also just right to cut through the olive oil. Happy days.

(Dönnhoff Felsentürmchen Riesling Spätlese) This has gorgeous, well-defined fruit on the nose, which is just dripping with honey and has a delicious style. The palate is fresh and balanced, and it has a lovely substance and purity. There are rather youthful sherbet elements to it, but there is genuine breadth and nascent complexity here too. Excellent.
