Very nice, actually soft and ready (for a petite sirah, that is). Good earth character, aromatic and fleshly. Lacks some complexity and depth, but nice.

Medium ruby. Lifted aromas of bright raspberry, pickle, earth, hint of sulphur. Very tangy acidity. Narrow fruit and limited by a stiff spine of acids, the raspberry and American oak flavors nonetheless offer plenty of enjoyment. Finishes tart. Bottle #8 of twelve.

Big whiff of that blue porta-potty sanitizing liquid. Some licorice beneath that. Surprisingly soft tannin. Pretty good.
