"Found" this beauty in the cellar. Made me smile thinking of a trip to Santorini. I was concerned because of its age and decided to open it to test it. Pnp: age has definitely changed the taste. It has definitely lost some of it's minerality with age. Flavors changed from sharp crisp lemon and lime fruits to more mellow melon and stone fruit. It's developed into a more rich wine. Not bad at all but definitely a departure of what I remember it being.

Color: very golden, like apple juice. Taste: Creamy texture, honey and lemon. Unfortunately the wine was dominated by a strong alcohol taste. Due to the very dark color and the strong alcohol taste I think the bottle was somehow flawed.

Deep lemon bordering on light gold. Unmistakeable Santorini nose of ripe lemons, seaside breezes, sunblasted rock, ripe apples, grapefruit. There's some tropical fruit threatening to break out and some very feint honey. Medium full body, again that Santorini melange of lemons, brine, ripe apples with grapefruit on the midpalate. Bracing acidity yet very refreshing and a long finish. Surprisingly good at the price although not as complex as Sigalas, Argyrou or as focused as Thalassitis.

A nice food wine that seems neutral, but gathers more character over time. Light and tangy with a touch of brine or toast or something; it really grew on my over time.

Very simple wine, goes well with sea bass and scallops and very well with greek salad. Clean and basic nose, some mineral and citrus on the mouth but nothing super exciting nor wrong. Pleasant but forgettable.
