Beautiful bottle, and, sadly; our last. No flaws. No sediment. No rim variation. Full of berry fruit aroma. No tannins. Medium alcohol. Medium finish. Very drinkable, likely at peak. Plenty of bottle life left nonetheless.
It took a few minutes to open up, for the tannins to smooth out. After 30 minutes sitting in the glass, really nice, still plenty of fruit. Compared to the 2004 Harlan Maiden I opened two days later, not as big or rich, but still a very nice Cabernet. Two days later, you notice more of the amber at the edges, and a rougher finish, but still a small core of nice fruit, and seemed to improve given time in the glass.
