[Tasted Double Blind] This pours medium ruby in the glass without any bricking. The nose initially comes across youthfully and seemingly a little oaky. With air it really rounds out nicely showing nutmeg, cloves, dark cherry, black currant, bay leaf, celery seed, and plum. The palate enters on the deep and ripe fruit with medium tannin and medium acid. The finish closes harmoniously. Initially I thought this was a youthful Bordeaux or perhaps Super Tuscan, with the age seemingly 2004 - 2010. So not too far off. With air I found I liked this wine more and more, finding a lot of aromatic appeal in the baking spice on the nose.

Stunning wine. Complex with dark berries and black cherries, spices, pepper. Great acidity with tannins mostly resolved. Extremely pleasant to drink, could have this every night. Very long finish. Very unique character of this Cab Franc/Merlot hybrid.

Cloudy dense core showing some age and a paler rim; sweet violet and plum, chalky dark fruit, herbs, vegetal, wet earth, mineral, oak, aged, smoky, great richness, chocolate, leather, plush darker fruit, green pepper; really good.

Aromas of cedar, sandlewood, thyme, dark stone fruits. This is drinking beautifully.
