I bought 2 cases on release and have stored in perfect conditions. The wine in many of the bottles started started pushing through the corks by 2007. There is obviously something wrong with the corks used for this vintage.
Significant residue under the capsule, and seepage on the cork all the way to the top rim. The bottle didn't have overt oxidative signs, but it was quite one-dimensional and tart, and not what I would expect from a CdP at this age, nor what I would expect based on the other notes here.
This has certainly improved, and while one still senses the heat of the vintage, this is one of the strongest efforts this year; rich, deep, sweet fruit, lots of garrigue and local character, good balance, even my wife, the Burgundy-aficionado, liked it, which does go to show something. Perfect with braised lamb shanks...
