Beautiful wine. Balanced and integrated. Still fresh with hints of orange peel on the palate. I am new to Condrieu so this was a very nice way to introduce myself.

Surprisingly good at the age of 8, although currently the wine convinces on its gentle nature and delicious new French oak handling. I miss the opulence and vibrancy of youthful viognier, although I acknowledge that the wine is in no way decrepit. It comes across as (high class) oaky, high alcohol and slightly in need of acid - whereas when released, this would have been outstanding and voluptuous.

Truly the finest viognier in years. At De Karmeleit in Bruges. Incredible array of tropical notes on the nose, with a full finish displaying strong slate on the back end but a delicious and medium bodied bouquet of tropical flowers and fruits. It never caved.

Still very good. A touch of bottle age apparent and toasted character. This is aging well - mellow and refined. This is not currently as flamboyant or vibrant as the 2009.

Fine Vines Fall 2016 Portfolio Tasting (Fine Vines - Melrose Park IL): Tasting, brief note. Floral and tropical with butterscotch and honeycomb. Very tasty right now, perhaps tastier a year ago, but very unctuous and enjoyable today.
