My last bottle, I think, and what a shame I don’t have cases more of this. Medium hay in color, a wonderfully melange nose, with the slightest touch of petrol-like notes, mingled with hints of dried pineapple, tropical fruits, some savory herbs; rich and vibrant on the palate, though needs a few air hours to really start strutting, good acidity, just enough to provide balance to the lush fruit, but also some background minerality and saline notes, along with more tropical fruits, some nice umami, and a lovely tapering finish. A special bottle, one not often seen stateside, had been keeoing this to see how it would develop. Probably at peak now, but should remain so for years.

Light hint of petrol on the nose, color is a light honey gold; nice medium depth, plenty of acidity to balance the rich flavor, touch of meaty salinity, and just a bit of minerality through the finish. Holding pretty well, though I suspect this is at its peak now.

Really well aged Riesling with balanced herbal seeming flavours like camomile, traces of fennel, quince, ripe green lemon and rather shy apricots. Surprisingly stern mineral touch. Very vital acid for a 2007 Nahe Riesling. The finish is straight, a bit too tart and above average. I am really glad it kept up. I wasn't so sure. I guess it'll be best to finish it up your remaining bottles within the next 20 months. Later plenty of a bit bittersweet honeysuckle.

Tasted blind. Flinty, notes of baked apples on the nose. Good acidity, slight bitterness. Nice and open but not great.
