White wine Guigal Masterclass (Stockholm): Orange colour. Nose with concentrated aromas, oranges, spice, dried fruit. Off-dry/semi-sweet on the palate, very spicy, slight alcoholic bite, dried fruit, some orange, balancing acidity.
Puzzling wine! Nice sweet nose, with dried orange peel, cinammon, crushed white flowers, pears, etc. Mouthfeel is interesting, with sweet flavors but the texture of a dry wine. Requires an open mind... Beautiful!
A very - very special wine from Guigal. Made from 100% viognier grapes, offers aromas of jasmin, white daisies, pears, and peaches. Very complex and med to full on the palate, with high acidity (I am not sure if it is realy a sweet wine), and flavors, of quince, abricots, orange peel, stones and pear liqueur. A rare Condrieu to drink absolutely, as an aperitif or with fresh fruits. Avoid to pair with sweets...
A very unique wine, with a nose promising a light sauternes, but delivering a semi-sweet complex viognier with stone fruits, minerality, honey, and tropicals. For my taste, a bit flabby, lacking acidic raciness.
